Field trip
The participants in the ”Postgraduate Defense Resources Management Course for Senior Officials”, ACT.678.15., military and civilian personnel from NATO partner states and Romania - Ministry of National Defence, accompanied by Ms. Maria CONSTANTINESCU, associate professor, PhD and Mr. Vlad-Ionuț DUMITRACHE, associate professor, PhD – DRESMARA teachers – carried out documentary visit in Garrisons of Bucharest, Mangalia and Constanta between 22 and 24 Mai, 2024, as follows:
- on 22 May
- at the Integrated Defense Planning Directorate where aspects were presented regarding strategic planning, the NATO defense planning system and the implications of current security challenges on the management of defense resources;
- the 9th edition of the ”BSDA – 2024, Black Sea Defence & Aerospace International Exhibition” comprising the visit of the stands of participating companies, with of specific equipment and systems, including the stand of ”Carol I” National Defense University where the educational offer, results and scientific research projects of DRESMARA are presented, and attending demonstration exercises as well as presentations during conferences and workshops organized by exhibitors.
- on 23 May
- at "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy where the institution, the mission and the objectives assumed in the plan of training-education and scientific research were presented;
- at the 39 Diving Center where aspects were presented regarding logistical management during the planning and carrying out of specific operations as well as regarding scientific research specific to diving activities and underwater missions/work; the program included the visit of the specific training facilities (diving simulator).
- on 24 May
- at ”Rear-Admiral Horia Macellariu” 56th Frigate Flotilla where they were presented with aspects of logistical management during the planning and carrying out of naval operations within collective defense missions or peace support operations, within NATO or under EU mandate.
The visit of the frigate "King Ferdinand" - flagship of the Romanian Navy represented a very special moment of the entire activity.
