International Scientific Conference ”Defense Resources Management in the 21st Century” (CoDRM)





The Regional Department of Defense Resources Management Studies (DRESMARA), in collaboration with the Military Sciences Section of the Romanian Academy of Scientists, War Studies University from Warsaw/Poland, University of Defense, Brno/Czech Republic, ”Alexandru cel Bun” Military Academy of the Armed Forces from Moldova and ”Transilvania” University from Brasov and in partnership with ” Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy, Sibiu, ”Aurel Vlaicu” University from Arad, NATO HUMINT Center of Excellence from Oradea, ”Political Research Group” and ”Global Agora” ONGs, organized, the 13th edition of the International Scientific Conference ”Defense Resources Management in the 21st Century” between 08 and 09 November, 2018 (CoDRM)...

Under the motto Using Today's Ideas to Shape Tomorrow's Future!, CoDRM brought together scientists from academic structures, researchers, academic teaching staff, PhD candidates and not least, practitioners of management, to exchange experience and share results of their research on the most diverse aspects of resource management in the spirit of new changes brought about by the current security environment.

The conference was held both in plenary sessions and in 6 sections:

As a result of the great scientific prestige accumulated during the previous editions, the conference enjoyed wide national and international participation, with 40 papers by 58 authors, individually or collectively, as follows:

  • at national level - 26 articles, 39 authors;
    • education institutions and other structures of the Ministry of National Defense - 16 articles, 24 authors;
    • Universities Academy of Economic Studies, National School of Political and Administrative Studies and ”Titu Maiorescu” / Bucharest, ”Transilvania” / Braşov, Craiova, Oradea, ”Lucian Blaga” / Sibiu) - 8 articles, 11 authors;
    • other institutions (Romanian Academy, Romania-Turkmenistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry) - 2 articles, 4 authors;
  • at international level - 9 articles, 12 authors;
    • education institutions and structures from the Czech, Georgian, Moldovan, Pakistani, Polish and Tunisian Ministries of Defense - 13 articles, 16 authors;
    • universities from Turkey - 1 articles, 3 authors;

The 13th edition of the conference offered the perfect framework for relevant scientific debates on concepts, principles and trends in the areas of management theory and practice, economics defense and defense planning, defense resource management, military affairs, security studies, transatlantic cooperation, and information science in the new context of the changes generated by the current security environment.
