The visit of the Deputy Secretary General of NATO, HE Mr. Mircea GEOANĂ to DRESMARA

Friday, 3rd of November, the Regional Department of Defense Resources Management Studies was visited by the NATO Deputy Secretary General, ES Mircea GEOANĂ.

The event is an important acknowledgment of our efforts in the field of defense resources management education and training.

Throughout Mr. Geonă’s visit we have highlighted our continuous commitment to NATO. Thus, Mr. ES Mircea GEOANĂ had the opportunity to become familiar with our educational activities, as well as discuss current and future developments in the defense and security field.

The following aspects related to NATO military education were underlined:

• Adaptability and readiness: military education is the key to maintaining NATO adaptability and readiness in the face of the increasingly complex security challenges of contemporary world;
• Cooperation and interoperability: our educational programs support effective dialogue and collaboration among member states, and they are fundamental for the unity and efficiency of NATO operations;
• Tactical and technological innovation: the Alliance’s focus on emerging technologies and innovative tactics allows it to remain on top of developments in the international defense and security field.

We reiterated an important aspect of our mission, namely our dedication to developing well-trained military leaders and professionals who are able to sail their way and manage within a continously evolving security environment.
