”Critical Information Infrastructure Protection” Course

COL eng. Cezar VASILESCU, professor, Ph.D., attended the ”Critical Information Infrastructure Protection” Course organized between 20 and 25 October 2019 by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE) in Tallinn, Estonia, as a Department Head for ”Cyberspace Operations” NATO discipline.

The purpose of the course was to provide participants with the necessary knowledge to analyze, assess and make decisions relative to critical information infrastructure protection.

During the course, it was delivered knowledge about critical information infrastructure and the threats to its operations, assessing the vulnerabilities and the threats profiles related to critical information infrastructure, making appropriate decisions regarding the protection of critical information infrastructure, including personnel training, investments in protection, information sharing and risk assessment, overseeing and critique of a comprehensive risk assessment of both cyber and physical vulnerabilities for select critical information infrastructures, prioritizing the protection of the most important core information infrastructure for a military operation, institution, government or private sector enterprise.
