Mrs. Aura CODREANU, Associate Professor Ph.D., participated as a subject matter expert in the NATO DEEP workshop on Professional Military Education Institutions and Personnel Development conducted at the Military Institute of Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan between October 14 and 18, 2019, in Bishkek.

The aim of the event was to outline the main factors contributing to the development of professional military education in defense establishments from the perspective of the evolving defense and security environment and its impact on the mission and structure of armed forces.

In this respect, the discussions between NATO SMEs and the representatives of the Military Institute of Armed Forces, and General Staff of Kyrgyzstan focused on the career paths and models for personnel development, the main drivers and players providing input for curricular planning, as well as the development of PME personnel.
