Advanced Distributed Learning Support - DEEP Republic of Armenia

Between the 16th and 19th July 2019, MAJ OGÎGĂU-NEAMȚIU Florin, PhD, the head of the IT compartment / DRESMARA, has participated as a guest speaker in NATO's assistance activities in the field of Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) offered to the Republic of Armenia as a PfP member

The workshop, organized by the PfP Consortium of Defense Academies and Institutes of Security Studies within NATO Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP) and hosted in Yerevan, consisted of discussions and practical activities aimed at raising awareness among decision-makers in the Republic of Armenia about the role and the importance of technology in modern educational processes, the need to change the mentality of the human resource with regard to the advantages it brings, the need to approach a comprehensive and elaborated strategy for the implementation of this initiative. Also, together with a target group of approximately 15 military and civilian staff from the Armenian Ministry of Defense, a practical activity called "Creating and Developing a Distributed Learning Course" was developed, where an online course was developed using tools offered by the NATO DEEP PORTAL education platform.

At the end, the willingness to continue this type of training program and to increase cooperation between the Defense Ministry of Armenia and NATO through NATO's Defense Strengthening Program was expressed bilaterally.
