Field trip

The participants in the „Postgraduate Defense Resources Management for Senior Officials Course (DRMSO)” - ACT 678.4. and „Postgraduate Information Resources Management for Senior Officials Course (IRMSO)” - ACT 679.2. - military and civilian personnel from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Pakistan, Tunisia, Ukraine and Romania - officers from the Ministry of National Defense, accompanied by DRESMARA teachers, carried out a documentary visit to Bucharest and Constanţa garrisons between 14 and 16 November, 2018.

The field trip has been organized in order to visit some institutions / structures as follows:

• DRMSO: central structures of the Ministry of National Defense - Department of Armaments, Human Resources Management General Directorate, Department for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations/Integrated Defense Planning Directorate;
• IRMSO: Romanian National Computer Security Incident response Team, National Cyberint Center/Romanian Intelligence Service;
• both courses: units of the Air Forces Staff (Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base 57) and Navy staff (56 Frigate Fleet and 39 Diving Center).

During the activity were presented aspects regarding the defense resources management, as follows:

• major procurement programs and their management, in the context of the national security investment program;
• career management and legislative framework;
• managing the resources needed to provide Host Nation Support for the armed forces in transit;
• ongoing projects under the NATO Security Investment Program;
• logistics management during navy operations planning and deployment.

The visit of the “Queen Maria” frigate and the simulator for diving training were special moments of this activity.
