DRESMARA at 7th Clearing House on Defense Education 24 – 29.06.2018, Kaunas, LITHUANIA
Between 24-29 June 2018, COL Prof. Cezar VASILESCU, PhD participated in the 7th edition of the „Clearing House on Defense Education and Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP)” hosted by the Defense Ministry of Lithuania in Kaunas. The Clearing House brought together over 63 participants from various defense education institutions from 16 NATO countries, along with representatives of International Staff / Political Affairs and Security Policy Division (IS/PASP), Allied Command Transformation (ACT), MPD, US Joint Forces Staff College, NATO School Oberammergau, NATO Defense College, George C. Marshall Center and Partnership for Peace Consortium of Defense Academies and Security Studies Institutes.
Participants discussed the current status of the support granted to NATO’s partner countries through „Defense Education Enhancement Programme” and their identified needs to build, develop and reform educational institutions in the defense domain, correlated with the assistance offers. During the debates, Romania’s contribution to the implementation of the action plan decided by NATO IS for the development of military educational institution from NATO’s partner countries was highly appreciated.
The Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP) connects senior educators from NATO nations with their counterparts from Partner countries with the objective of enhancing educational curricula and learning methods.
