Field trip

The participants in the „Postgraduate Defense Resources Management for Senior Officials Course” - ACT 678.3. - military and civilian personnel from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia and Romania - officers from the Ministry of National Defense, accompanied by DRESMARA teachers, carried out a documentary visit to Bucharest and Constanţa garrisons from 29-31.05.2018.

During the field trip, have been visited central structures of the Ministry of National Defense (Department of Armaments and Human Resources Management General Directorate), units of the Air Forces Staff (Mihail Kogălniceanu Aerodrome and Administrative Center) and Naval Forces Staff (56 Frigate Fleet and 39 Diving Center).

During the activity were presented aspects regarding the defense resources management, as follows:

• major procurement programs and their management, in the context of the national security investment program;
• career management and legislative framework;
• managing the resources needed to provide Host Nation Support for the armed forces in transit;
• ongoing projects under the NATO Security Investment Program;
• logistics management during navy operations planning and deployment.

The visit of the “Queen Maria” frigate and the simulator for diving training were special moments of this activity.
