"We are NATO" information campaign

On March 29, 2018, the DRESMARA Director, Colonel Florin-Eduard GROSARU, professor, PhD, participated in an event in the information campaign "We are NATO", organized by the Information and Public Relations Department in collaboration with "Henri Coanda" Air Force Academy, as part of the "International Week" mobility.

The event, held in the DRESMARA auditorium, consisted of three workshops on topical issues on NATO agenda:

  1. "Romania's role in strengthening the security of the eastern flank of the North-Atlantic Alliance";
  2. "Gender Perspective in the Romanian Army and in NATO";
  3. "Opportunities and career prospects in the Romanian Army and NATO".

The Director of DRESMARA was invited to moderate the debates within the section "Romania's Role in Strengthening the Security of the Eastern Flank of the North Atlantic Alliance", together with its Excellency Ambassador Victor Alexandru MICULA, Deputy Director General, Department of Strategic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Air Fleet General Iulian PATILEA - the deputy for operations and instruction of the Air Force Headquarters, Brigadier General Thomas. CARDEN Jr. (USA) - Deputy Commandant of the South-East Multinational Division and Lieutenant colonel Ryan SMITH (USA) - NATO Force Integration Unit (NFIU).

The high level of the other sections was supported by keynote speakers who co-chaired the debates, as follows: Ms. Liliana FILIP – the president of the NGO ”Political Research Group” and counselor in the Defense Committee/Chamber of Deputies, moderator of the section "Gender Perspective in the Romanian Army and in NATO ", Commander Gabriel RĂDUCANU, associate professor, PhD - the Commandant (Rector) of "Henri Coanda" Air Force Academy, Colonel Cătălin SAMUILĂ - General Directorate for Human Resource Management, Captain Silvia STANCIU - Counselor/Cabinet of the Minister of National Defense and representatives of the South-East Multinational Division Command, NATO Force Integration Unit and the Emergency Situations Inspectorate.

The audiance, made up of students of the Henri Coanda Air Force Academy, Transilvania University in Braşov and military academics / universities from Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland and USA, actively participates in the question session.
