International Scientific Conference ”Defense Resources Management in the 21st Century” (CoDRM)

The Regional Department of Defense Resources Management Studies (DRESMARA) organized the 14th edition of the International Scientific Conference ”Defense Resources Management in the 21st Century” between 07 and 08 November, 2019 (CoDRM)

The event was organized in collaboration with the Military Sciences Section of the Romanian Academy of Scientists, War Studies University from Warsaw/Poland, University of Defense, Brno/Czech Republic, ”Alexandru cel Bun” Military Academy of the Armed Forces from Moldova and ”Transilvania” University from Brasov and in partnership with ” Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy, Sibiu, ”Aurel Vlaicu” University from Arad, NATO HUMINT Center of Excellence from Oradea, ”Political Research Group” and ”Global Agora” ONGs

This year's theme Complementarity between NATO and EU in supporrting security and stability brought together scientists from academic structures, researchers, academic teaching staff, PhD candidates and not least, practitioners of management, to exchange experience and share results of their research on the most diverse aspects of resource management in the spirit of new changes brought about by the current security environment.

In plenary session the conference brought together representatives and renowned specialists from: Brookings Institution, New York/SUA, Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), Monterey / USA, Geopolitical Futures, Piraeus University / Greece, National Security Faculty / Warsaw University / Poland, ”Transilvania” University / Braşov, the Ministry of National Defense and the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration.

The sections of the conference focused on the following areas: Defense Economics, Transatlantic cooperation, Management Theory and Practice, Social sciences, Military Strategies and Defense Planning and Information Science.

As a result of the great scientific prestige accumulated during the previous editions, the conference enjoyed wide national and international participation, with more than 35 papers by 50 authors, individually or collectively.
