Between 6-9 June 2011, the Regional Department of Defense Resources Management Studies (DRESMARA) hosted the 2nd PTC working group meeting, which was attended by 28 representatives from 17 countries.
On the occasion of the opening ceremony, which took place on 6 June, the commandant (rector) of the National Defense University „Carol I”, GEN LT professor PhD Teodor Frunzeti, welcomed the participants online.
The activity, organized under the auspices of the NATO School of Oberammergau, Germany, was attended by 18 accredited or candidate Training and Education Centers, as well as by the representative of the NATO headquarters from Brussels. - identification of the main ideas underpinning the official document regarding the updated concept and plan of the PTC strategic communication;
- delineation of the PTC strategic vision;
- initiation of a website containing PTC information within the NATO School website.
Besides the official discussions, the guests had the opportunity to visit several touristic sites in Brasov area, in order to become more familiar with Romanian traditions and culture specific to this picturesque region of our country.
At the end of the activity, the NATO School representatives expressed their appreciation for the discussion outcomes, the significant contribution made by the new members of the PTC community, as well as the efforts made by the hosts to ensure the smooth running of the event.
